The Pipeband Club announces a new president
Bryan Weir, father of Steve (G1 piper) and Lachie (Dev bass drummer) has accepted the position of Band President, replacing outgoing President Mark Romer. Bryan brings vast management experience, and is a welcome addition to the PBC leadership team.

Special General Meeting
The Pipeband Club held a Special General Meeting during which Pipe Sergeant Angus Roberts was elected as Pipe Major, following the resignation of Scott Nicolson from the band's leadership team. Angus had been the Pipe Sgt since the band's inception in 2008.

World Pipe Band Championship, Glasgow, UK
For the Grade 1 band this was the 6th consecutive tour to the Worlds and the 3rd year that the band had entered into the Grade 1 competition. An early slot meant the grand stand was near empty when the band performed and the band failed to qualify out of the 18 bands competing for the remaining slots and only placed 14th for the qualifiers.

The second competition on UK soil saw the band placed 8th in the MSR competition.

North Berwick Competition, UK
Returning to Scotand for the sixth consecutive year the Grade 1 band competed in the first of 2 UK competions in the lead up to the 2010 World Pipe Band Championship. The band placed 3rd in the MSR and 7th in the Medley.

Australian Champions title retained
A beautiful sunny day in Caloundra on Queensland's sunshine coast saw The Pipeband Club A Band successfully defend their title as the Australian Grade 1 Champions. A fantastic effort from everyone involved with some new players on board this year, everyone raising the bar ahead of the rest of the field. Excellent preparation for this years up coming Worlds Competition.
